YOU WONT BE ABLE TO RESIST BAYMAX
This fluffy, squishy, marshmallowy robot is dominating everyone’s heart including mine. He was designed to be a medical aid and health care provider just like a fluffy and funny nurse at your side. You won’t be able to resist his cuteness specially in the not-so-serious scenes in the movie (I guess the trailer has shown it a lot).
YOU’LL WISH YOU’RE AS SMART AS HIRO HAMADA
Who doesn’t want to be a cool child prodigy in the area of electronics? He is first addicted to the underground robot battles but soon made a way to put his gift in good use. With a main character like this, what do you expect if Baymax is upgraded into a robot equipped with kung-fu and metal gears?
IDEAL BIG BRO
Aww, he is the onii-chan of the century, Tadashi Hamada. He is Hiro’s cool big brother whom inspires him to enroll in the Nerd University and make good use of his talent. He himself invented our dear Baymax out of pure heart intending to help others making this world a better place.
IT’S SAN FRANSOKYO FOR CRYING OUT LOUD
I am really confused at the beginning of the movie figuring out where it is set. Is it Japan? Is it U.S.A? Well, it is both – it is San Fransokyo (San Francisco + Tokyo). Being an Otaku, this fact kinda tickles me that it has a lot of Japanese concept in it. From the main characters, to Asian architectures, to Kabuki mask and a lot more.
HAVING FRIENDS REALLY MATTERS
Taking care of Hiro when Tadashi’s gone, the nerds from the university were called by Baymax. He was sure full of pride in the beginning but later on discovers that he indeed needs a company. Big Hero 6 includes Hiro, Baymax, GoGo Tamago, Wasabi, Honey Lemon and Fred.
IT’S KINDA TEAR-JERKING
Better hid my warning my friends. Every Disney movie doesn’t end without squeezing your tears out. Aside from avenging the death of Tadashi, the story also revolves around the growing friendship between Hiro and Baymax. Will he be able to recover with or without the help of Baymax? Will he be able to say “I am satisfied with your service” in the end?
